Montie Design, in partnership with the RTP Product Development Guild, is proud to present the Montie Design Lunch and Learn Series of presentation and networking events in 2011. These low-key, high-impact seminars provide networking opportunities and relevant insights to those in the business of developing and bringing to market engineered products.

Our second Lunch and Learn features Jeff Smith of Montie Design and Trajectory Business Services presenting "Who's Your Product? Putting the Right Name on What You Sell" on Wed., Feb. 2 at the Montie Design studio, just south of RDU Airport in Morrisville.

As with people, products and services are inevitably identified by names and the ways they are experienced.  Sales success for products and services depends largely on buyers' ability to identify their superior value, in a way that is credible, memorable, and not confused with competitive offerings. You want your product's name to do work for you, not just function as a "label."  And you want to choose well the first time -- changing a product name is usually expensive.

In this seminar, Jeff Smith of Montie Design and marketing management consulting firm Trajectory Business Services will provide step-by-step guidance on what you need to do to create and convey the identity for your product or service by selecting the best name for it.  It is especially appropriate for managers of growing businesses planning on bringing new offerings to their markets, or for marketing managers needing to better manage the brand identity of existing products or services.

The event will begin at noon and will include a catered lunch by Panera Bread (please email us at jeff@montie.com if you have dietary restrictions).  There will be time for discussion and networking before and after the presentation.  We will conclude about 1:15 p.m.

All proceeds from registration fees will be donated to Post 7383 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

We look forward to your participation!
